I’m going to take this opportunity to highlight an organization and individual that has changed my financial life (for the better!). RICH CHICKS is one of my favorite organizations that is run by my very own financial planner, Mickey Mikeworth. RICH CHICKS is a prosperity based financial education company that combines group education, personal coaching, and community resources to create a fantastic life-changing program for women. I first met Mickey at the MN Conference on Adolescent Females (MCAF) five years ago. I attended a workshop given by WomenVenture on how to teach financial education to girls and why it’s important. (WomenVenture is another amazing organization here in the Twin Cities, and I’d encourage you to check them out: www.womenventure.com). When they quoted the following statistic, I immediately signed up to work with Mickey: “15 hours of financial education will increase a woman’s lifetime earnings by 50%”!!!! WOW. That is an amazing statistic.
Since then, I’ve attended and completed the Rich Chick 3 year financial educational program for women. I’ve created a financial portfolio to be proud of and increased (already) my lifetime earnings in an amazingly short period of time.
Mickey Mikeworth and I have recently combined our talents (financial planning and life coaching) to create a teleconference series for women who are interested in either continuing on past the 3 years of education and for women who would like their financial growth to match their values in order to lead a value based lifestyle. We’ve decided to name the classes after the Rich Chick’s first ever prosperity based conference for professional women: WOW (Walk of Women). The first class in the series we’ve created is entitled, “WOW: Creating Your Monetary Identity”. This will be a six session teleclass for women that will combine financial education (class information) and group coaching in order to help solidify and personalize the learning. Our pilot class will take place this June and July 2007. And after that will be offered to the public beginning in the fall of 2007. The teleconference class will take place on the phone (like a conference call) once a week for an hour each, for six weeks in a row. Meanwhile, I’ve been doing my own “walk of women” by training for the upcoming breast cancer 3-day walk that takes place in the Twin Cities August 24-26. Yesterday I completed my first 9+ mile walk! 
I’ve also been working on developing a new and different website, that I hope to showcase in June. Enjoy the day, enjoy the season and celebrate life!
